1. Description of Services
Saola Education provides a specialized Learning Management System (LMS) tailored for managing English and IELTS speaking sessions. Our platform facilitates:
- Scheduling and booking of 1-on-1 and group speaking practice sessions between registered students and qualified teachers.
- Management of teacher availability schedules and student session credit tracking.
- Automated email notifications, class reminders, and scheduling alerts.
- Recording and delivery of academic evaluations, feedback, and speaking scoring rubrics.
2. User Accounts & Eligibility
2.1 Account Creation
To access the core scheduling features, you must be issued a registered account by Saola Education administration or sign in using authorized credentials. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login information and password.
2.2 Roles & Permissions
Our platform employs strict Role-Based Access Control:
- Students (
STUDENT): May book, view, and reschedule available speaking sessions based on their enrolled credit balance and receive instructor feedback. - Teachers (
TEACHER): May submit availability schedules, conduct booked sessions, and enter evaluations using official rubrics. - Academic Managers (
AM) & Super Admins (SUPER_ADMIN): Have administrative authority to manage user profiles, allocate credits, override schedules, and oversee system operations.
2.3 Accurate Information
You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete information when using our platform. Misrepresenting your identity or unauthorized sharing of account access is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension.
3. Booking, Cancellation, and Rescheduling Policies
Students must book speaking sessions in advance within available teacher time slots. Every completed session automatically deducts from the student's allocated session balance.
All requests to change session schedules must comply with our academic guidelines (requiring advance notice prior to class start time). Late cancellations or unexcused absences may forfeit the session credit.
In the event of unexpected teacher unavailability, Saola Education reserves the right to reschedule the session or substitute another qualified instructor without penalty to the student's session count.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
When using the Saola Speaking LMS and participating in virtual classes, you agree NOT to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose, harassment, discrimination, or abusive behavior toward teachers, staff, or fellow students.
- Upload, share, or transmit malicious code, viruses, or unauthorized automated scripts to scrape or disrupt the LMS server.
- Attempt to bypass Role-Based Access Controls, manipulate credit balances, or access administrative data without authorization.
- Record, distribute, or publish class materials, teacher feedback, or internal documentation without prior written permission from Saola Education.
5. Intellectual Property
All software, code, user interface designs, logos, course materials, rubrics, and documentation provided on https://speaking.saolaedu.com and https://course.saolaedu.com are the exclusive property of Saola Education and are protected by applicable intellectual property and copyright laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the LMS solely for educational purposes during your enrollment.
6. Third-Party Integrations & Google OAuth
Our Services integrate with third-party tools, including Google APIs and OAuth services, for account verification and automated email communication. Your use of such third-party features is subject to both these Terms and our Privacy Policy, as well as the respective third-party terms. We are not responsible for external network outages or third-party service interruptions outside our direct control.
7. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimer of Warranties
7.1 “As Is” Basis
The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or specific score outcomes on standardized examinations (such as IELTS).
7.2 Liability Limitation
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saola Education, its directors, employees, and teachers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the platform, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
8. Termination
Saola Education reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account access immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you violate any provision of these Terms, engage in academic misconduct, or fail to comply with institutional policies. Upon termination, your right to use the LMS will cease immediately.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Vietnam, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services shall first be addressed through amicable negotiation with Saola Education administration before seeking formal legal remedies.
10. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time at our sole discretion. Revised terms will become effective immediately upon posting on the platform. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of any changes constitutes acceptance of those modified Terms.
